Here's a little look at my operation set-up.  These recycle bins work great for storing old bike parts.  And -hey- I'm recycling!

We're kinda big into recycling around our house.  You could even say we're hippies.  Just a little.  We recycle, compost, and my wife rides her Madsen cargo bike.  Making bike clocks out of these old parts fits right in around here.

Urban bikers bike because it's 1) fun, and 2) it's eco-friendly.  No gas to pump, no exhaust, and hey- you're burning calories while you're at it!  Biking is a one-with-the-Earth sort of sport.  Whether you're doing it around town, or screaming down a trail in the mountains, you feel that connection with the world around you that a car just doesn't afford.  There's no roof over your head, no interior to mask the great outdoors from your five senses.  You're getting it all- wind, sun, and dirt.  Lots of dirt.

Us bikers are an outdoorsy group, and that's a big part of why we like bikes.  'Cause we're outside.  And sometimes we even get a face full of dirt.  Tree-huggers? Whatever, we're Earth-kissers.  We build trails.  We spare fossil fuels.  We're freakin' awesome.

    no bike left behind.

I got hooked on biking while in college. I was young, poor and newly wed. My father-in-law took me to Northstar and I was hooked. That led to my first (real) bike, a used Jamis hardtail. Thus began my obsession.
